When a guest asks why the sauna in cabin 14 isn't warming up, a good AI assistant doesn't respond with a generic troubleshooting article — it gives instructions specific to that cabin. That was the brief Henrik Sommer, CEO of Geilolia, brought to KonversAI. It's a tougher problem than it sounds.

Geilolia's guests don't ask about the property in general. They ask about their unit, by number: EV charging at cabin 12, firewood at the cabin they booked for New Year, baby cots, pet policies, sauna faults at cabin 8 or 14. Generic chatbots — the kind trained on a property's FAQ page — fall apart here, because the correct answer depends entirely on which cabin the guest is standing in. Getting this right meant tying the assistant's knowledge to each individual unit, not just the destination as a whole.

Booking system, connected from day one

The first piece was Visbook, Geilolia's booking system. The assistant connected directly with Visbook faster than Henrik expected, and from there it could assist with check-ins, checkouts, pet policies, and other transactional questions — automatically, without any manual input from the Geilolia team. Guests get answers grounded in their actual booking, not a generic policy page.

A content audit that surfaced more than expected

Onboarding included a full audit of Geilolia's website content — a necessary step to make sure the assistant had accurate, cabin-level information to draw on. That audit surfaced gaps and outdated information the team hadn't spotted themselves. The timing worked out well: it coincided with a full website rebuild led by Ingvild Bergaplass at Travitude Media, so the findings fed directly into the new site rather than becoming a separate cleanup project.

Travitude Media's take on working alongside KonversAI: "KonversAI is engineered to find solutions adapted to the customer's needs, and sees opportunities rather than challenges. The service is intuitive and user-friendly, and ensures relevant and useful information for both businesses and their customers."

From answer to transaction

The next phase was upselling. A guest asks if there's firewood at the cabin. The assistant confirms — and offers to arrange more, takes the order, notifies the caretaker, and sends a payment link. One question becomes one transaction, with zero friction and no staff time spent on it.

Availability and pricing, on demand

Most recently, the assistant has been extended to handle availability and pricing queries directly. Guests can now ask about availability and price for any given period and any specific cabin, and get a real answer in the chat — rather than being pointed to a booking calendar to work it out themselves.

The verdict

For Henrik Sommer, the result has exceeded expectations, as he describes in the quote at the top of the page — simple, straightforward and secure, and increasingly capable of handling the full guest journey from question to payment, cabin by cabin.
